Before the party
Nobody wants to chase replies in a group chat. Your digital invitation gives the date, the time, the place on a map, a countdown and, if there is one, a dress code or a theme. Choose colours and a font to match in themes, and guests tap “Add to calendar”.
The RSVP counts adults and children, which matters for a children’s party, and notes allergies for the cake and the food. Reminder e-mails go to those who haven’t answered. For a surprise party, guests can chat in the feed and post old photos of the birthday person before the day, and you open the space to them only when the surprise is over.
On the day
Put the QR code by the door, on the cake table or near the bar, or just drop the link in the party’s WhatsApp group. Guests type their name once and share photos and videos in full quality, with no app. No blurry, squashed photos in a chat the next day. Everything lands in one album, the candles, the speeches and the dance floor.
Stories catch the quick moments of the evening, and song requests give the DJ, or whoever holds the speaker, a list everyone voted on. A co-host, a partner or a best friend, can help look after the feed.
After the party
The morning after, everyone sees the whole night, including the bits they don’t remember. On Essential, download everything as a ZIP and keep it. For a child’s birthday, every parent gets the photos of their own child without asking. For a grandparent’s birthday, the wishes in the feed become a keepsake for the family.
Small lunch or big night
A birthday can be a small family lunch or a big party in a restaurant. Children’s parties often fill a play centre with classmates and their parents, and milestone birthdays bring together family from other countries, who can follow the feed even if they can’t travel.
